The Czech Bar Association has been entrusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic with out-of-court consumer dispute settlement concerning the disputes between the attorneys-at- law and consumers arising out of the provision of legal services pursuant to Section 14 of Act no. 634/1992 Collection, Consumers Protection Act, as amended. The website of the respective body is www.cak.cz. In a case of any dispute between a consumer and an attorney-at-law which fails to be settled vis-a-vis by the parties, the consumer shall apply directly to the Czech Bar Association. Consumer is entitled to ask the attorney-at-law to provide this information in writing as a hardcopy document or on another durable medium. For the purposes of alternative consumer dispute settlement the Czech Bar Conciliation Procedure Regulation (Resolution of the Board of the Czech Bar Association No. 2/1998 of the Bulletin regulating the Conciliation Procedure) will be applicable proportionately. The Conciliatory Commission of the Czech Bar Association is specifically charged with alternative consumer dispute resolution.
Tax advisory:
The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) has been charged with the out-of-court consumer dispute settlement. The entitlement specified hereinbefore has been delegated to the respective state body pursuant to Section 14 of Act no. 634/1992 Coll., Consumers Protection Act, as amended. In a case of any dispute between a consumer and a tax advisor which fails to be settled vis-a-vis by the parties, the consumer shall apply directly to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority. Consumer is entitled to ask the tax advisor to provide this information in writing as a hardcopy document or on another durable medium.
