Electronic sales records

24. 2. 2016

On 10 February 2016 the Government approved probably the most controversial law of recent times: Electronic sales records. 105 Members of Parliament were in favour out of a total of 145 present.Compulsory records will be introduced in stages. It will first only apply to restaurant and hotels, and then later retail stores and wholesale trade will also be included. Within two years sales records should be mandatory for all entrepreneurs that accept payment in cash.

As well as being an effective tool in the fight against the grey economy, the Ministry of Finance also promises that the project will increase the Treasury's revenues by 18 billion crowns.
