“MY Taxes” Project, a new vision of the Ministry of Finance, is a new scheme aiming at simplification of the Czech tax system, specifically the income tax, which will be possible to be adjusted by the Government to its needs. The Income Tax Act should be cleared off all unnecessary exceptions and sector policies and it should not contain specific parameters such as the tax rate. On the other hand, a catalogue of standardised exceptions should be added to the Act, which the ministers could choose their political priorities from.
The project relies on an electronic tax administration portal, a so-called tax kiosk, which ought to serve as an online tax account, which is to contain an overview of the tax entity’s liabilities and which could be used for submission of selected tax reports or keeping single-entry accounting.
The Project is planned to be introduced to public in September next year with the amendment of the Income Tax Act simplification becoming effective in September 2020.
