The government has prepared another anti-bureaucracy package – what can we most likely expect in the coming year?

On 27 August 2025, the Government of the Czech Republic approved another in a series of anti-bureaucracy packages. This new set contains 30 additional measures (so far, 72 measures have been adopted in the previous packages) aimed at eliminating unnecessary legal regulations and reducing administrative burdens.

Examples include:

  • abolishing the ban on employment contracts between spouses or partners;
  • abolishing the obligation for employers to report to trade unions on newly established employment relationships and on terminations by agreement or during the probationary period;
  • abolishing the requirement that an official verifying a signature on a foreign-language document must understand the text, if only the signature itself is being verified;
  • extending the validity of medical certificates for children attending school trips or recreational stays up to 5 years;
  • exempting insurance payers and insured persons from reporting obligations for information that health insurance companies can obtain from other public authorities;
  • simplifying administration in the area of hazardous waste transport records;
  • extending the validity of medical certificates for children for participation in school trips or recreational stays to 5 years, or after 2 years replacing them with a parental declaration.
