The amendment to the Pension Insurance Act 455/2022 Coll., which was published in December last year in the Collections of Laws, also introduced partial changes to the Organization and Implementation of Social Security Act, i.e. Act 582/1991 Coll.
One of the changes is an extension to the statutory period for archiving employee payroll documents and accounting records of data necessary for pension insurance periods. This amendment extends the current thirty-year period for retaining these documents by 15 years. So, employers are now required to archive the relevant documents for 45 calendar years after the year to which these documents relate.
The amendment is effective from January 1, 2023.
